Herbivore animals that eat grass. Black rhinoceroses also eat a variety of fruits, branches, and leaves. This doesn’t mean that they can only eat grass. They eat grass, aquatic plants, fruits, and tree bark.
Technically a graminivore is a herbivore animal that mostly feeds on grass. Horses eat hay, which is dry grass. So animals that feed on leaves, twigs, roots, tubers, flowers and soft shoots of high growing plants are called browsers and they differ from grazers that feed primarily on grasses, low level multicellular organisims such as algae or forbs and from gramnivores that strictly feed on grasses.
Herbivores are animals that only eat plants. Grass is a plant ! They have long necks to watch potential threats coming its way.
Carnivores do not have this problem as the enamel stays intact. These animals have their special sense of taste. They don’t need water but will use it if available.
When these are packaged in whole food we utilize them more efficiently, and don’t take in excessive amounts because there simply isn’t room to eat too mu. The animals who eat only meat are known as carnivores. Omnivores are animals that eat both plants and animals.
